Club information
We can offer our members:
Monthly Newsletter - Territory Multiples
The Territory Multiples Newsletter covers members stories, photos of our events, regular features, classifieds, calendar of events, recipes, information and club contacts.
Regular coffee/play group mornings and occasional family/special event days
Coffee mornings are held every Wednesday at the Uniting Church, Vanderlin Drive, Casuarina at 9:30 - 11:30am. All are welcome to come and meet other parents of multiples, chat, drink coffee, etc. while your multiples and their siblings play in a safe environment.
We hold family days and events on weekends at different times of the year. In the past we have had Christmas Parties, Easter egg hunts, picnics, outings like meeting at the Wild Life Park, at a local park, etc. Members are welcome to make suggestions.
We also have monthly adult days or evenings out. Keep an eye on the Events page.
Hospital visits, expectant parent and general information evenings
Once you have had your babies, you can call our expectant and new parent coordinator (0405 601 650) and she can visit you and discuss the club and any concerns you may have. Members also receive a small gift. It is up to you to contact us, due to privacy laws. The librarian can also visit you with a selection of books if you request her to. (0405 601 650)
Expectant parent evenings and general information evenings will be offered as separate or combined events according to need. At these evenings we have the library available and show a DVD (put out by the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA)) about birth, feeding, and caring for your new babies. We will also have experts on hand to answer questions, share experiences, and offer support to you and your family. Husbands/ partners are encouraged to attend.
Library and Equipment hire
We have a great selection of books, videos and DVDs covering pregnancy to adolescence. We also subscribe to Twins Magazine, and we keep a copy of AMBAs Magazine. (You also receive this magazine in the mail as part of your membership) The library is brought to each coffee morning, and the librarian can also visit you by appointment.
Fund raising
We hold several fund raisers a year. As we are a non-profit community organisation, we rely on membership fees, fund raising events and grants to keep us going.
Discounts
We have several services and retailers who offer a discount to NTMBC members. Once you receive your membership card details are on the card, just present on purchase.
Support, contact and advisors
We understand what you are going through, as we have been there. Our coffee mornings and family days are designed to bring multiple families together, to provide support and information sharing. It is a chance to ask questions of members with older children who may have had the same experiences as you, or to discuss issues and share stories about your family. If you are expecting please feel free to come along to one of our coffee mornings and ask any questions you may have and remember there is no such thing as a silly question!
Our member families come from all 'walks of life', some used assisted fertility treatments, some are working outside the home, some have blended families, some have siblings to their multiples, some are older parents, some have special needs children, some have identicals, etc.
We also have a list of members you can call on for specific advice when the need arises.
